Cymbalta Can Help Manage Diabetic Nerve Pain

Cymbalta (sim-BALL-tah) is a prescription medicine approved by the FDA to manage diabetic nerve pain. Cymbalta is an approved prescription medicine, taken by mouth, for diabetic nerve pain that can be taken once a day to help relieve pain. Unlike some medicines that may be used for diabetic nerve pain, Cymbalta is not a narcotic and can be taken once a day to help manage diabetic nerve pain.

Cymbalta Can Begin to Work as Quickly as One Week

Studies have shown that Cymbalta can significantly lessen diabetic nerve pain. On average, patients continued to feel improvement for the duration of the studies. As with all medicines, treatment results can be different from one person to the next. The most common side effects reported by patients in the trials were nausea, somnolence, constipation, increased sweating, dry mouth, and decreased appetite.
