Cymbalta is approved by the FDA for the acute and maintenance treatment of major depressive disorder (MDD). Cymbalta is available only by prescription.

Cymbalta Is Simple to Use

Cymbalta comes in a capsule and can be taken once a day. Plus, Cymbalta can be taken with or without food. You should not break, open, or chew the capsule. It should be swallowed whole. Make sure you take only the dose your doctor prescribes.

Cymbalta is not for everyone. As with all medications, certain side effects may be experienced.

In clinical studies of depression, the most commonly reported side effect of Cymbalta was mild to moderate nausea that usually improved within 1 to 2 weeks.
